Knitting pattern FANCY SLEEVES V SWEATER - knitted sweater with special sleeves

With this easy and clear written pattern you can get started knitting your own chunky knit with special sleeves. The FANCY SLEEVES V SWEATER is an oversized sweater with my special signature sleeves and a beautiful V-neck. A design with countless color options. There are several knitting patterns available in my webshop with these types of sleeves. The pattern of this sweater is also available without the V-neck and an oversized fit.

You can knit this design in many colors or color combinations. You can even choose to add an extra (decorative) strand, like a glittery yarn to give your cardigan that extra sparkle. 

STITCHES AND ABBREVIATIONS
I believe that the sweater is not very difficult to knit, but you do need some knitting experience. The techniques you need for this knitting pattern are: 

• Knit (K) and purl (P) stitches alternated (rib stitch)
• Knit (K) and purl (P) rows alternated (stockinette stitch)
• Slip stitch knitwise
• Slip stitch purlwise
• K2Tog: knit two stitches together (knitwise)
• P2Tog: purl two stitches together (purlwise)
• Mattress stitch (to seam the sweater up)

SIZES
The digital knitting pattern contains 4 sizes (S (M) L and (XL)) and is slightly oversized. The length and/or width of the design can be adjusted to your own wishes. If you make any adjustments to the length and/or width, you will need extra yarn.

MATERIALS

• 6 mm and 8 mm straight knitting needles
• 7 mm and 5 mm circular knitting needles.
• Tapestry needle to seam the sweater up
• Stitch holder
• Scissors

YARN
I used a combination of one strand Drops Air Mix in the colour 15 – purple haze (65% Alpaca / 28% Polyamide/ 7% Wool – 50 g /approx. 150 meters) with two strands Drops Kid Silk Uni-Colour in the colour 09 light lavender (75% Mohair / 25% Silk – 25 g / approx. 200 meters). Holding 3 strands of yarn together. Each size requires a different amount of yarn, which is stated in the pattern.

Any yarn or yarn combination suitable for a 10 mm needle can be used to knit this sweater. I recommended knitting a swatch, especially when using a substitute yarn.
