Crochet pattern AMORE BAG - crocheted bag with heart pattern

Last summer, I wanted to crochet a fun bag. A real eye-catcher and something different from all the other bags I'd ever made. The AMORE BAG is the result. With this simple and clearly written pattern, you can get started crocheting your own colorful AMORE BAG. The color possibilities of this design are endless and can be customized to suit any preference. The pattern includes written instructions, crochet charts, and videos.

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED
I don't think the Amore bag is particularly difficult to crochet, but you do need some crochet experience. The techniques you'll need for this crochet pattern are:

• Chain
• Single crochets
• Double crochets
• 3 double crochet clusters
• Changing color while crocheting single crochets
  
• Neatly cast off and weave in ends
• Making pompoms
• Braiding (for the handles)

SIZES
The crochet pattern includes one size. The height of the bag is easily adjustable. I explain how to do this in the pattern. When you decide to make a bigger bag, you will need more yarn than indicated.

MATERIALS

• Crochet hook: 3,5 mm (UK 9 / US E/4)

• For the bag in the pictures, I used Drops Paris (50 g / 75 m / 100% cotton) in various colors.

•  (Thick) needle for weaving in the end

• Scissors

• Measuring tape

• Something to make pompoms with (cardboard, a fork or a pompom maker)

YARN
For the bag in the pictures, I used Drops Paris (50 grams / 75 meters / 100% cotton) in different colors:

• 06 cerise: 1 ball (50 grams)
• 65 rust: 1 ball (50 grams)
• 05 lilac: 1 ball (50 grams)
• 01 apricot: 1 ball (50 grams)
• 17 off white: 8 balls (400 grams)

Alternative yarns: Catania Grande by Schachenmayr (this yarn is slightly thicker), Erica by Zeeman (this yarn is also slightly thicker), Yarn and Colors Epic 8/8 (exactly the same properties, but I have no experience with it myself) or any other 'Cotton 8/8' yarn.

Any yarn or yarn combination suitable for a 3.5 mm hook can be used to crochet this bag. Always make a swatch first when using a different yarn.
