With this simple and clearly written pattern, you can get started crocheting your own colorful PIPPA PONCHO . This poncho is suitable for all ages, and the pattern clearly explains how to adjust the size to your liking. The color possibilities of this design are endless.
STITCHES AND ABBREVIATIONS
I don't think the Pippa Poncho is difficult to crochet, but you do need some crochet experience. The techniques you'll need for this crochet pattern are:
- chains
- slip stitch
- double crochets (clusters of 3 double crochets – granny stripe)
- bobble stitch (I explain this in a video included with the pattern)
SIZES
The great thing about this poncho is that you can crochet it for everyone. The size is easily adjustable. I explain this in the pattern.
MATERIALS
- Hook 3.5 mm / UK: 9 / US: E/4
- (Thick) needle for threading the chain cord through the loops and for weaving in ends
- scissors
-
Optional: a small pompom maker with a diameter of approx. 3 cm, or another tool to make pompoms (fork, cardboard templates, etc.). There are several ways to make pompoms.
YARN
For the poncho shown in the photos, I used a combination of different colors of Royal yarn and Promo yarn (Zeeman). A skein of Saskia/Royal yarn weighs approximately 100 grams (240 meters).
Similar yarns include Popular yarn, Saskia (Wibra), and Color Crafter by Scheepjes, also known as DK yarn. Any DK yarn or other yarn combination suitable for a 3.5 mm crochet hook can be used to crochet this sweater. If using a different yarn, make a swatch first.
Further information is included in the pattern. If you have any questions, please feel free to send a message using the contact form. After ordering this digital product, you will receive a digital pattern (PDF file) with which you can crochet your own poncho. You will not receive a finished product!
I regularly write about my knitting and crochet projects on my blog . Each pattern has its own detailed article on my blog, explaining the process and the yarns I use for my projects.
I want to thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm. Happy crocheting! ♥
